NYX Soft Matte Lipcream Swatches

So yes this is a nail blog, but I figured I would make a homerun with makeup too! So I have nine of the NYX Soft Matte Lipcreams that I got at IMATS, LA 2011. They are so pretty and I love every single one of them! The only one that I find clashes with my skin is London. Well enough of this blabber, let the swatches speak for themselves!
In order from left to right:
Tokyo, Istanbul, Milan, Stockholm, Antwerp, London, San Paulo,
Addis Ababa (LOVE), and Monte Carlo (LOVE).

Nail Polish Brand Spotlight of the week!

Nail Polish Brand Spotlight of the week!
This is a new weekly blog post showing you guys my favorite, not so popular polish brands. I will also show you the colors I have.
This week is: NYC Long Wearing Nail Enamel :)
These are the only two colors I have in Pink Promenade Creme and Starry Silver Glitter. I got these for $1.99 each!
They are salon quality polishes for a third of the price. Now if I can say that these are an amazing line of polishes when I only have two of them, then you better believe it.

NOT3D #4 Easter! :)

Wet N' Wild~ Blazed (Isn't it such a pretty coral?!)

AH the bunny :) I used different acrylic paints

I did a blue bunny on the other hand! This is one of the brands
and colors used! $1.50 at Wal-Mart and craft stores!
Easter is just around the corner and I am in such a festive mood for it! Many people were doing bunny tutorials on Youtube, so I thought I would try it. For it being my first time doing a bunny... I thought I did pretty darn good! :) This Wet N'Wild coral color I have been DYING to wear for spring. I bought it last fall and finally wearing now for the first time. I LOVE it! I also really suggest Wet N'Wild polishes for  in-expensive, amazing colors. The year 2012's spring color is Tangerine Tango. So I think it fits! :) Happy Easter everyone!

Cleaning your makeup brushes! :)

I decided to do something different. Cleaning makeup brushes
is so important!

Of course you will need brushes!

Antibacterial, disinfecting soap (DAWN) Not baby shampoo
because it doesn't clean the brushes all the way.

EVOO to help recondition the brush bristles.
Ok, I know that this is a nail blog but when I really thought about it why not add random beauty and hair tips?!
Now I don't know if all people know this, but cleaning your makeup brushes is SO important. Everyday when you apply makeup you are rubbing around your face's oils, dirt and any other grimy grossness. If you don't clean your brushes then basically you're reapplying all that back on your face. It can cause serious breakouts! (Another Tip- Wash your pillowcase once a week to help with the dirt on your face) I hope this helps!
Cups to put the brushes upside-down in

So you just dip the brush into the mix and wipe back and forth
on your hand, rinse in water well! Let dry upside-down
in cups or on slanted towel for about 4-6 hours :)

NOT3D #3

Julep nail polish in Kelly as my main nail color (From American Beauty Maven Box)

Pure Ice glitter polish in Spit Fire. :) LOVE! (Got at Wal-Mart)

NOT3D #2

So this was from a while back, but I decided to upload it anyway :)
This blue-toned hot pink is by Trade Secret, called Lily. On my middle finger,
for whatever reason it got lumpy. I have had this polish for about 2 years so
it is getting thick. :) Have a good day!

How to remove glitter nail polish :)

So this is the polish I started out with. Glitter on one nail.
You will need polish remover, foil squares, and cotton balls.
Soak your cotton ball in remover and place it on your nail. Wrap foil on top.
Should look like this and leave it on for about 10 minutes :)
All done! The polish comes off nice and clean and when you twist it off,
be careful to not push the polish in your cuticles!
